Sustainably-sourced from the North Atlantic

At Genuine Health, we believe that the health of our planet is tied to the health of our oceans.

We source our marine clean collagen from wild caught cod, pollock and haddock in deep water oceans off the coast of Atlantic Canada. Our marine clean collagen is both sustainably sourced and upcycled, an exciting solution we feel good about (and we know you will, too!).

Think of marine clean collagen as your fountain of youth!

marine clean collagen is gluten and dairy-free and works with most diets, it is also keto and paleo-friendly.

Frequently asked

Is this product suitable for pregnant individuals?

Consult a healthcare practitioner if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking this product.

Is this product safe for children?

This product is intended for Adults 19+ only.

Should I take collagen?

Yes! Collagen is the most plentiful protein in our bodies. But beginning in our 20s, our bodies naturally produce less of it. Collagen loss is usually seen on the skin, where lines and wrinkles form. But underneath it all, loss of collagen also affects the integrity of our bones, joints and muscles. Supplementing with a high quality collagen can help to reverse collagen loss, improving the look of your skin, your joint health and more.

How long do I need to take collagen to see results?

Results may vary among individuals, but consistency is key!

Does collagen support hair, skin and nail growth?

Yes! Studies show that collagen peptides promote nail grown, reduce the frequency of nail breakage, increase hair thinkness, reduce wrinkles, and enhance skin hydration and elasticity.1-3 1. Is there a difference between marine and bovine collagen?

Typically, marine sourced collagen has a smaller molecule size (~ 1 kDa). Bovine collagen can be a little bit bigger ( ~ 1 – 3 kDa). What it really boils down to is what benefits you are looking to achieve! Studies are beginning to show that bovine collagen primarily supports joint health and marine collagen supports hair, skin and nails.1-3 1. Geahchan S, Baharlouei P, Rahman A. Hydrolyzed collagen and collagen peptides are the same thing. Hydrolyzed collagen refers to the process where collagen is broken down into smaller molecules to make collagen peptides.

Why is lysine essential to collagen formation?

The essential amino acid, lysine, is critical in collagen formation as its hydrolyxation and cross-linking supports the structure and function of collagen fibres.

Good product

I really love the lime taste and it disolves very quickly.

Decent product

To preface, I don't regularily take collagen. I enjoy the flavour but find it excessively sweet when mixed with just water. It also has a mild aroma to it that I don't particularly care for, but maybe that's all collagen? It's not intense or anything, but it is there.

Easy collagen drink

I whisk it in my green tea every day. Delicious!

I love the taste and it disolves completely.

I am OK with paying for what I get but I am NOT ok with your packaging. With all our concerns about recycling and our earth…. I just purchased a large container of “marine clean collagen” and it was exactly 1/3 full. 2/3’s if this plastic container was air…. Why can’t you package your quantity in a smaller container. It’s such a waste!
