New formula Gut Superfoods = what a complete disappointment!

Loyal customer for many years. Recommended Gut Superfoods to many people. Not now! I totally agree with reviewer, Brad. Gone is the light, healthy feeling of optimal digestion. I object to adding sweet pototo in such a quantity that it overpowers the taste of everything. Your ingredient list is not up to the previous standard. You don't say what per centage of fruits and vegetable are in the mix - I assume because it is so little compared to the fibre, that your product is now simply just another fibre supplement. Zucchini and carrots are hardly superfoods. your list is lacking in food with high polyphenol value. Why use juice powder instead of providing the nutrition of the whole fruit? Is it that you don't know any better, or is it to trick unsuspecting consumers into thinking they are getting superior nutrition, when they are not? If I see that you go back to the original formula, and really improve it with UNPASTUERIZED fermented produce and with higher polyphenol value, I will give you another try. But for now you have lost me. What a shame!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for being a loyal GH consumer over the years. An update to the Gut superfoods formula was required to meet the new Health Canada regulations. Vita fibre (IMO) which provided 5g of fibre is no longer recognized by HC as a fibre which meant that we had to state the Gut superfoods contained 0g fibre which forced us to reformulate this product. This product now inludes a tri-fibre blend ( acaia fibre, oat fibre, apple fibre) which provides 6g fibre per serving. We've also chose to simplify the superfood blend to inlcude a colourful blend of fruits and vegetables from plant-based foods commonly found in North American diets. Sounds like our greens+ may be a better suited product for you. Greens+ is a powerful blend of botanicals, phytonutrients and superfoods designed to boost energy and vitality. It features a unique mix of ingredients that are not typically found in the North American diet, along with polyphenols (almost 93%) that provide antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits.​
